As a collaborative pianist, Dr. Ho works extensively with vocalists in art songs and operatic repertoire. During summers of 2013 and 2014, Dr. Ho was selected by the late Maestro Lorin Maazel to participate as staff collaborative pianist at the Castleton Festival in Virginia, where she also performed in the orchestra under maestro’s baton. Around the same period, she served as musical director of Des Moines Metro Opera Educational Touring Troupe “OPERA Iowa”. Dr. Ho has vast experiences as a collaborative pianist. She has performed numerous vocal and instrumental recitals on national and international levels. She performed in master classes of artists such as Warren Jones, Martin Katz, Russell Miller, and Roger Vignoles.
Dr. Ho currently resides in Philadelphia, where she is a faculty member for Settlement Music School, the rehearsal pianist and staff accompanist for Gleeksman- Kohn Children’s Choir and Thomas Jefferson University Choir. She proudly plays for the private voice studio of Eduardo Chama, Head of Voice Department at Rutgers University. She is a staff accompanist for Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
Dr. Ho is a recipient of Presser Foundation Scholarship. She has Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from University of Missouri in St. Louis, Master of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from University of Kansas.
